SkinGlow Clinic
Treatment Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings, consultations and treatments provided by Skinglow Clinic. By booking an appointment, attending a consultation, paying a deposit, or proceeding with treatment, the client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Clinic Details
For all enquiries relating to bookings, treatment records or complaints, contact Skinglow Clinic at office@skinglowclinic.co.uk.
2. Bookings and Deposits
A deposit of £50 is required to secure an appointment. Unless otherwise stated, the deposit will be deducted from the final treatment price on the day of attendance.
Appointments are not confirmed until the required deposit has been received. The clinic reserves the right to release unconfirmed appointments.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
The clinic asks for as much notice as possible if an appointment needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.
More than 48 hours’ notice: the deposit will be refunded or transferred to one rearranged appointment.
Within 48 hours of the appointment: the deposit will be forfeited.
Within 24 hours of the appointment, or failure to attend without notice: the full cost of the booked treatment may be charged.
The clinic may require full prepayment for future bookings where there has been repeated late cancellation, non-attendance or non-payment.
4. Late Arrival
If a client arrives more than 15 minutes late, the clinic may need to shorten the appointment, reschedule it, or treat it as a late cancellation, depending on practitioner availability and what is clinically safe and practical on the day.
5. Consultation and Suitability
A consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be carried out on the same day. All treatments are subject to practitioner assessment, medical suitability and clinical judgement at the time of appointment.
The clinic reserves the right to refuse, postpone or modify treatment where this is considered necessary for safety, medical, ethical or professional reasons.
6. Medical Information and Disclosure
The client must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information regarding medical history, allergies, medications, previous procedures, pregnancy, breastfeeding status, skin conditions and any other relevant health matters before treatment.
The practitioner will rely on the information provided when assessing suitability for treatment. To the extent permitted by law, the clinic is not responsible for loss, adverse outcomes or complications arising from inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information supplied by the client.
The client must inform the clinic promptly of any change in medical condition, medication or other relevant information before each appointment.
7. Informed Consent
Before treatment proceeds, the practitioner should explain the nature and purpose of the treatment, the expected benefits, material risks, likely side effects, limitations, reasonable alternatives and the option of no treatment, and the client should have the opportunity to ask questions and sufficient time to decide whether to proceed.
General Terms and Conditions do not replace treatment-specific consent. Where applicable, the client will be required to sign a separate treatment consent form for the relevant procedure before treatment is carried out.
Consent may be withdrawn by the client at any time before the treatment begins. Once treatment has started, fees for services already provided remain payable.
8. Patch Testing
Certain treatments require patch testing. Where applicable, patch testing must be completed within the time advised by the clinic and at least 48 hours before the appointment unless the clinic confirms otherwise.
Treatment will not proceed without a valid patch test where one is required.
9. Age Restrictions
Treatments are intended for clients aged 18 and over unless the clinic expressly confirms in writing that a specific treatment may be carried out for a younger client in accordance with applicable law, clinical judgement and any consent requirements.
The clinic reserves the right to require proof of age.
10. Pricing and Payment
Prices may be amended at any time, but the price confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured for that appointment unless the treatment plan changes for clinical reasons or at the client’s request.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment of the remaining balance is due in full on the day of treatment.
11. Treatment Packages and Courses
Treatment courses and packages are non-refundable once any part of the course or package has been used, except where required by law.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, packages must be used within 12 months of purchase. Any unused sessions remaining after that period may be forfeited.
The clinic may, at its discretion, extend the validity period where treatment is delayed due to medical unsuitability, practitioner advice or other exceptional circumstances.
12. Results, Review and Touch-Ups
Individual results vary and no specific outcome can be guaranteed. Response to treatment depends on individual factors including medical history, skin characteristics, healing response and aftercare compliance.
Where clinically appropriate, review appointments or touch-ups may be offered at the clinic’s discretion. Unless expressly stated otherwise, these are not included free of charge.
13. Risks and Side Effects
All treatments carry potential risks and side effects. Before treatment, the client should be informed of the material risks relevant to the treatment being provided and given the opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed.
The client accepts that some treatments may involve discomfort, redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, asymmetry, allergic reaction, infection, pigment change, unsatisfactory cosmetic effect or other known complications, depending on the procedure.
14. Aftercare and Complications
The client must follow all pre-care and aftercare instructions provided by the clinic. Failure to do so may affect results, increase the risk of complications and may limit the clinic’s ability to offer corrective treatment, review or complimentary support.
If the client experiences an unexpected reaction, worsening symptoms or a suspected complication after treatment, the client should contact the clinic promptly using the contact details provided and seek urgent medical assistance where appropriate. The clinic is not responsible for outcomes adversely affected by the client’s failure to follow aftercare advice or by treatments, products or advice obtained from third parties after treatment.
15. Refunds
Deposits, treatment charges and package payments are non-refundable except where these Terms provide otherwise or where a refund is required by law.
No refund will be given for treatment already carried out simply because the result did not meet the client’s subjective expectations, provided the treatment was delivered with reasonable care and skill.
16. Photography and Records
The clinic may take clinical photographs before and after treatment as part of the medical record where this is reasonably necessary for assessment, treatment planning, monitoring and record keeping.
Separate, specific consent will be requested before any identifiable photographs are used for marketing, promotional or educational purposes.
17. Data Protection
Personal data and health information will be processed and stored in accordance with UK data protection law. Health information is sensitive personal data and will be handled in line with the clinic’s Privacy Policy and legal obligations.
Requests for access to records may require proof of identity and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law.
18. Behaviour and Right to Refuse Service
The clinic may refuse treatment, end a consultation or decline future bookings where a client behaves abusively, aggressively, inappropriately, dishonestly, or in a manner that places staff, practitioners or others at risk.
The clinic may also refuse treatment where the requested treatment is considered clinically unsuitable or not in the client’s best interests.
19. Complaints
Any complaint should be raised with the clinic as soon as possible by email to office@skinglowclinic.co.uk, with reasonable detail of the concern.
The clinic will acknowledge the complaint and aim to investigate and respond within a reasonable period.
The client should allow the clinic a reasonable opportunity to review and, where appropriate, address any concern before disputing the payment with a card provider or commencing legal proceedings.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.
Subject to the above, the clinic is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes materially affected by inaccurate information provided by the client, failure to follow aftercare, or third-party interventions after treatment.
21. Changes to Terms
The clinic may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the date of booking or treatment will apply unless a change is required by law or regulatory guidance.
22. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
