[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”MESOTHERAPY” tab_id=”1436426565634-57cc8a30-98c7″][vc_column_text]Cosmetic mesotherapy is a treatment capable of improving the majority of cosmetic issues by providing small quantities of active ingredients directly to the area where they are needed. In conventional mesotherapy treatments these ingredients are administered via microinjections into the dermic layer of the skin where they act as slow release medication. The method will improve your skin’s hydration and volume, as well as facial expression. Your face will be more relaxed, the wrinkles of facial expression will be reduced and the tone and texture of the skin will become more youthful. This method prevents degradation of your skin with age and beautifies your face. The vitamins stimulate the skin cells, especially fibroblasts, which cause increased production of collagen and elastin fibres, as well as neutralising free radicals. The biological metabolism of the skin becomes like that of young skin. Mesotherapy is able to improve circulation as well. Mesotherapy is a non-surgical method. The revitalising substances are delivered into the skin as multiple, very superficial injections of tiny drops, aided by a special Mesotherapy very fine needle. What are the revitalising substances? The revitalising substances are a complex of vitamins, amino acids minerals and a variety of fillers obtained by a biotechnological process. Is it painful? No. Some patients experience a light tingling sensation near the injection site. It disappears within a matter of seconds. For very sensitive patients we can apply numbing anaesthetic cream 30 minutes before the treatment and/or ice packs. What should I avoid before the treatment? You should avoid Aspirin, Vitamin E, Primrose Oil, Nurofen, Ginkho Biloba, Chinese and herbal medicine one week before the treatment. This is just to protect you against the remote risk of bruising. Your skin should be without infection or inflammation, such as eczema or acne. What should I avoid after the treatment? There are no specific restrictions on any activities after the treatment. You can go right back to what you were doing as soon as you step out of the SkinGlow Clinic. However, you should avoid excessive physical activity for a few hours. How many sessions are necessary? About 10 sessions are necessary to improve the skin on your face or neck. Ideally, they should be carried out every two weeks for the first 2-3 months and then one a month for the next 3 months. Once the results are visible, we can space the treatment every 2-3-6 months. This will depend on the extent of your skin’s condition and problems. Each session takes about 20-30 minutes. How many sessions before I see improvement? After the third to fifth session, you will see that your skin looks noticeably healthier, the subcutaneous tissue is firmer with better tone and texture, and the lines will improve dramatically or disappear. How long will the benefits last? If you choose to continue with follow up session every two to six months, the improvement will be more stable and longer lasting. On average, it will be five to six months before you see the toll of time starting to creep back in. It is best to nip it in the bud at this stage. If you are vigilant, three to five sessions will get you back to smooth, firm skin again. Does Mesotherapy have any risks? Usually no, as the revitalising substances are natural components of skin. They are non-toxic and biodegradable by integration with the skin. Approximately 3% of patients can get mild redness, which will last for a few hours. 1% of patients can get bruising lasting up to three days. Allergic reactions are very rare. By now you’re probably familiar with, or at least have heard of the “vampire facial,” a skin treatment that essentially uses your own blood to help facilitate a glowing, youthful complexion. What you probably haven’t heard of is that there’s a similar treatment for hair loss, and yes, it requires your blood, too. It’s called platelet-rich plasma, a.k.a. PRP. Our blood is made of two main components, red blood cells and plasma. The plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors. Growth factors, in a sense, play the role of messengers, signalling skin cells to function. In fact, they’ve been used in medicine to treat a range of health issues, including arthritis, signs of ageing, etc. The good news for anyone with thinning hair, is that growth factors can help stimulate the activity of the hair follicles and promote new hair growth. The use of PRP is a great treatment option for hair loss because it has a number of scientifically based articles showing its efficacy increasing hair count, hair thickness and the growth phase of the hair cycle. The treatment has been gaining popularity around the world within the last few years. As with most procedures, there is a careful process involved in using PRP for hair regrowth, beginning with a standard blood draw from the patient’s arm. Next the tube of blood is put into a machine called a centrifuge, which spins the blood tube to separate out the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma, rich in platelets, is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. The process is meticulous — with injections beginning across the scalp, approximately at every half inch over the area of thinning hair — but typically, the entire procedure takes less than a half hour. Risks involved It might sound scary (blood draws and needles?!), but for the most part, there’s no real risk associated with PRP. Most patients get injections without any numbing, as there is minimal discomfort. However, cool air or ice packs may be used to minimize pain. In the event there is any discomfort, Paracetamol after the procedure is also recommended. Bruising can occur, but usually resolves within a week or two. Minimal downtime, if any, is needed. We personally recommend a warm shower, as the hot temperature will enhance blood flow and circulation throughout the scalp. Who does it work for? Anyone experiencing hair loss is essentially a good candidate for PRP treatments, but those with early hair loss tend to respond best. PRP is best used for patients with androgenic alopecia, which is a genetically determined type of hair thinning that typically occurs along the top of the head. In women, this might look like a widening part with normal hair thickness at the back of the head. It has fantastic results for acne and face rejuvenation as well. Results. For best results, consistency is key. Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first 3-4 months, and then every 3-6 months thereafter, depending on the individual patient’s response and results. Following this protocol, anticipated results can first be seen within two to three months. The first result that patients usually note is decreased hair shedding, followed by early regrowth and increased length of hair. The general consensus is that receiving treatments every 3-6 months on a long-term basis are optimal for continuing to stimulate the growth factors and stem cells that are associated with regrowth and stopping hair fallout. It’s important to keep in mind that PRP can, and should, be a part of a multifaceted program to treat hair thinning and loss. Before and after 6 sessions of PRP [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”WISH PRO” tab_id=”1436426537077-097d812e-1874″][vc_column_text]What is Wish Pro treatment? Wish Pro treatment is an innovative skin treatment device that combines four different proven technologies. Together with advanced cosmetic capsules, you can see results in only 15 minutes of non-invasive treatment. Your skin will be rejuvenated, more radiant, moisturised and looking firmer and healthier. What is Magnetic Infusion Technology (MIT)? A revolutionary concept in skin care treatment uniquely designed to tighten and tone almost instantly. Here’s how ageing works. Beginning around the age of 25, a person produces 1% less collagen in their skin per year. Elastin production also slows way down. So, what does this mean? It simply means that your skin will lose 20-80% of its thickness and elasticity throughout the ageing process. This is what can lead to wrinkles, fine lines, discoloration and irritation. MIT in tandem with the technology of head and capsule selections, infuses vital serums deep into the skin. This in turn stimulates elastin and collagen production, delivers much-needed nutrients, and helps tone muscle fibres. Younger, fresher, healthier! This is what Wish Pro treatment delivers. The technology is simple. MIT creates magnetic pulses which then convert to a mild electrical energy field. It is this field that allows the heads and capsules to stimulate and penetrate, bringing users the ultimate experience in skin rejuvenation. Each capsule is specially developed to treat the signs of ageing as well as dry, sensitive skin. Our Wish Pro family of capsules is truly revolutionizing the industry’s approach to skin care. [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”CHEMICAL PEELING” tab_id=”1436426537077-097d812e-1873″][vc_column_text]What is a chemical peel? A chemical skin peel is a science-based treatment that, when properly performed, offers one of the most powerful non-surgical skin improvements available. Chemical peels are acid solutions that remove damaged layers of cells from the skin’s surface and stimulate skin regeneration — revealing glowing and youthful skin.
Light chemical peels include fruit-, milk- or sugar-based acids and enzymes. These peels may offer a light flaking with slight stinging when applied. These chemical peels can help improve sun damage, lighten pigmentation, improve fine lines and wrinkles. Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) are two hydroxyl acids (BHAs and AHAs) that differ by their lipid-water solubility. Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) are water soluble and Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) are oil soluble. BHAs are able to penetrate deeper into pores, which contain sebum and help to control exfoliation of the dead skin cells that build up inside the pore. Salicylic Acid is the only BHA known for the treatment of acne and acne-prone skin types. AHA are derived naturally from sources such as sour milk (lactic) or sugar cane (glycolic) and these will help in cell renewal, reducing superficial lines, address minor hyperpigmentation and are pretty mild with no down time.
Medium chemical peels include Jessner and TCA. Jessner peels are good for oily, acne prone skin. TCA is appropriate for more intense sun damage, pigmentation and deeper lines and wrinkles. TCA also can be beneficial for those who have very thick, congested skin. All these skin peels will definitely have a sting like a sunburn lasting and exfoliation that can be more aggressive which lasts for up to 10 days. How does a chemical peel work? By removing the build-up of dead skin cells and stimulating the regeneration of cells, you will notice visible improvements in reducing fine lines and wrinkles, diminishing oil production and pore size while clearing blemishes, improving texture, tone and hydration – for an overall healthy skin appearance. Who is the perfect candidate for a chemical peel? Skin peels are extremely beneficial in the treatment of hyper-pigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and photo ageing. What can I expect after a chemical peel? While it is impossible to predict exactly what may happen to the skin, listed below is a general description of what to anticipate after a light to medium peel. • Immediately following this treatment, the skin will be very smooth and tight. • There may be a colour change – pink to red the first day and then a brown tone until peeling occurs. • The skin will generally begin flaking in 2-3 days; however, flaking can take place anytime for the next 7-10 days. • Exfoliation varies from person to person and from peel to peel. Flaking may vary from none at all, mild, hardly visible to heavy continuous peeling. Do not be concerned how much you actually peel. Even if there is no visible peeling, it does not mean that the peel did not work and there is a microscopic peeling that takes place What type of home care should I use after my chemical peel? After your treatment you will be given specific instructions to follow. After your skin has healed, daily skin care is essential to maintain results. Good moisturisers and sun-block SPF 50+ creams are essential and additional specialty products may be prescribed based on your individual needs. Contraindications include the following: • Active bacterial, viral, fungal, or herpetic infection • Open wounds • History of drugs with photosensitising potential • Pre-existing inflammatory dermatoses (eg, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, pemphigus) • Facial cancers, especially facial melanoma • Uncooperative patient (patient is careless about sun exposure or application of medicine) • Patient with unrealistic expectations • For medium-depth and deep peels, history of abnormal scarring, keloids, atrophic skin, or isotretinoin use in the last 12 months [/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
